Is Ditch Cam free?
Yes. The Android app is free to install and free to use on one jobsite, with no card required. Paid Ditch plans add more jobsites, more shared albums and more storage — the app itself is never a separate charge.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. Ditch Cam captures and queues photos offline and uploads them automatically when the phone is back in range. Crews shoot in basements, trenches and dead zones without losing the record.
Do photos save to my camera roll?
Not automatically. Photos captured in Ditch Cam go straight to the jobsite record instead of the phone's gallery or a personal iCloud account. You can still explicitly download a copy when you need one.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. The iPhone app is coming soon. In the meantime, Ditch owners and admins can use the web app from an iPhone browser at app.ditch.pro.
What does Ditch Cam need to run?
An Android phone with a camera. Location permission lets each photo land on the jobsite map, but it is not required to take a photo. Ditch Cam asks for camera and location on your first capture. Capturing photos needs no storage or media-library access.
How is this different from the phone's camera?
The phone camera gives you a photo in a roll of thousands. Ditch Cam files each shot against a jobsite with capture time, GPS when location is enabled, and searchable work and equipment details added after upload — so you can find a specific photo months later and share it as proof.
